Miss Lisa, who, according to her husband, looks like a ferret in a blue dress, has been fascinated with Latin since she found a First Latin book in a pile of used books way back when she was young.   Way, way back.  Using only this book, her attempt to learn the language was an utter failure.

Fast forward to Miss Lisa as a homeschooling mom who went all in on Classical, Christian education after reading “The Well-Trained Mind”.   This model of education requires one to learn Latin.   Hooray!  Huzzah!  But alas, how to teach a language that you don’t know?   Well, super easy, just get a Latin grammar book and dictionary to go with your First Year Latin curriculum, and you’re all set!  Unless you have multiple children.  And you homeschool. And work nights and weekends playing your French Horn.

About Miss Lisa

Books

After struggling through various curricula with her older children, using answer keys to grade papers without really understanding WHAT WAS GOING ON, Miss Lisa had her last child go through Latin, and now had the time to really learn, to teach and even to tutor other people’s children in the subject.
